Fusion's fsql utility allows SYBASE users to interactively execute SQLcommands. Although fsql is completely compatible with the standardSYBASE interactive SQL program, fsql has significant enhancements thatgreatly improve the productivity of programmers and databaseadministrators. In addition, fsql adds many new command-line argumentsthat make it a much more useful tool for creating reusable shellscripts.Interactive features of fsql include:

Command history and editing. Use either vi or EMACS commands to edit

SQL statements and recall previous statements.

Use of csh-like history commands to recall previous statements.
Invocation of any full-screen editor on current or prior SQL command

batch.

Termination commands with `;'. No need to type go after each

statement.

Piping output to any UNIX process interactively.
Built-in help for interactive commands.
Completion on SQL keywords and database object names.

fsql is available alone or bundled with Fusion's enhanced bulk-copyfacility.
